Weekend Run Down
Slow moving weekend this last one. The weather wasn't the best, though I did get some riding in.
Friday evening started at 9 PM when I met some of the boys down at Monk's House of Ale Repute. It's always good to catch up with them and it's always great to have some of the beer at Monk's.
We're getting in good with the owner, Jerry. We questioned him on the bottle of Double Chocolate Stout he was drinking. After he'd given us his story, and he's sticking to it, he went in back, grabbed a bottle, and poured it in two (2) glasses for two (2) of us to share. Chocolate cake in a glass. Damn fine beer!
Saturday started fairly early with the Coffee and Donut ride. Me and that Minus Car fellow pedalled around, stopped for B's and G's (biscuits and gravy) and even found time to harrass our two (2) favorite MS Society employees. See the whole run down HERE.
Sunday was spent doing household crap even though it was the best day, weather wise, of the weekend. I lubed the chain and topped the tires with air on the Surly Cross Check. I also exchanged emails with The Owner regarding stuff he's getting for me for the Big Dummy build.
Which brings us to Monday and here it is. It sucks, but it's true. The good news is I'm leaving town with some of the boys to attend LBL on Friday night. That will be a blast! If you don't know about LBL, or are not going, well, sucks to be you.
Ride On.
