I usually swing a leg over the bike and depart for work just before 7:00 AM. I get off work at 5:00 PM. At 5:00 PM I then change into biking garb and head for the shed.
When I leave for work the sun’s not up. When I head home it’s just set. I spend all the work day indoors and my riding time is before or after sundown. Dark times indeed.
I don’t mind so much in the morning. Traffic is light. However, in the evening, cage holes are heading home at the same time I am. I am sporting bright blinkers fore and aft now. But, I think I’ll add a highly reflective highway construction worker type vest.
Ride On.

The vest is definitely a good idea.
I am seeing an uptick of cagers pulling out in front of me in the morning. I blink, strobe, have fore & aft reflectors, and & I wear a reflective rain jacket. I am adding a blinky to my helmet & maybe another strobe that will not be straight ahead.
2nd thought is the few times I've pedaled like a ninja I don't expect them to see me so I am more apt to stop when I see headlights at intersections even though I have the right of way.
I wear one & have blinkys, strobes, reflectors but they still pull out in front of me in the mornings. I need to get me a spotlight like the one I used hunting racoons growning up & shine that sucker in their eyeballs.
I've added a blinky on my helmet. I've had several people remark to me they saw me riding on 12th. I ask what they saw, and they always say the helmet blinky.
Be seen, my friend!
