Kiosked

As part of Falls Area SingleTrack’s (FAST’s) agreement with the City, we are to build, and install, a cedar kiosk. It houses the trail map, trail rules, some appropriate logos, and a few other items. This past weekend I finished building the kiosk. It is now ready for install.

A while back I was sort of anticipating to install it in the spring when all the frost was out of the ground. However, the Parks and Recreation department is thoroughly thrilled with the project. They’ve offered to use their skid steer mounted earth auger to facility the hole creation. This thing is going up soon.

The rest of the weekend was pretty nondescript. I did true up a wheel for a biker friend. A crash rendered the wheel wobbly and the brake rubbing quite a bit. A few minutes in the truing stand and it is now non wobbly, completely round, and centered on the hub.
